Bruins Sit T-4th After First Round of NWC Championships

TACOMA --- The George Fox men's golf team is currently tied for fourth after the first round of the Northwest Conference Championships.


Pacific Lutheran is the first round leader with a 287 team score, Willamette is in second with a 293 team score and Whitworth is third with a 302 team score.

George Fox is tied with Linfield at fourth as both teams shot a 306 team score.

Alex Plusquellec had a nice day on the course, as the senior currently sits tied for fourth with a 1-over-par 72. Mason Koch is T-13th with a five-over-par 76 and Joshua Lackey shot a six-over-par 77 to take T-20th. Mason Mueller and Clayton Rajewich rounded up the lineup to take T-33rd and T-36th, respectively. Mueller finished with an 81, while Rajewich signed an 84.

Samuel Hinton of Willamette leads the field of 44 golfers with a 2-under-par 69.

The Bruins will look to climb the leaderboard Sunday, April 22 in the final round of the NWC Championships.
