McMINNVILLE --- The George Fox men's golf team finished its second day of play at the Linfield Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 29, with a team win and the tournament medalist.

A day removed from sitting atop the leaderboard as a team, the Bruins resumed their strong play at Michelbook Country Club with another solid round on the Par 72, 6513 yards course. The Bruins did well to battle the elements, including cutting wind and cold, on their way to picking up a team victory.

Joshua Lackey turned in a second card of 71 (-1) to climb to the top of the tournament leaderboard and passed his teammate, Mason Koch, to do so, ending the tournament as the medalist with a 142 (-2) between his two trips around the links.

Koch was two strokes off the pace set by Lackey on day two and finished the day with a 73 (+1) to finish even for the tournament at 144.

Dante Heitschmidt climbed seven spots up the leaderboard from day one to day two with a round of 72 (E) to finish in a tie for fourth overall. Heitschmidt cut five strokes off his first round to climb the ranks and finished at 149 (+7) which helped solidify the team's top finish.

Clayton Rajewich cut six strokes from his first card on day two and climbed nine spots into a tie for 16th after shooting a 74 (+2) in the second trip around the greens. Rajewich ended the tournament at 154 (+10).

Caleb Fernandez concluded his play in a tie for 34th overall after shooting an 81 on day two, totalling up to 163 (+19) for the weekend.

Hayden Ledvina wrapped up his first collegiate outing with a card of 103 on day two, finishing the tournament at 200 (+56).
