HILLSBORO --- The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections for the week of Sept. 9-15 and named Sebastian Lopez as the defensive recipient for its men's soccer honors.

Lopez kept two clean sheets in more than 200 minutes of play over the weekend. The Bruins' freshman keeper averaged nine saves per match and set a new career mark with 11 stops on the road against Occidental (Calif.).

Lopez made seven saves in an effort that helped George Fox upset California Lutheran on its own pitch after earning his third career shutout in goal in that match.

The Bruins remain on the road this weekend with their annual Tacoma trip slated for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 & 22, with tests against Pacific Lutheran and No. 17 Puget Sound to open NWC play.
