NEWBERG --- The George Fox men's tennis team hosted the Loggers of Puget Sound on Sunday, keeping its perfect Northwest Conference record intact with a 9-0 victory.
The Bruins wasted no time in doubles action, as Thierry Van Os and Payton Namba got the Bruins on track with an 8-0 victory at the No. 2 spot. Feeding off that energy, Justin Barton and Pete Gibson grabbed the Bruins' second point with an 8-1 victory at the No. 3 spot. Alex Namba and Will Leach had a battle at the No. 1 spot but prevailed with an 8-4 victory over Riley Inn and Joshua Blumberg.
George Fox went on to take all six points in singles, as Gibson and Van Os did not allow a single point by their opponents. Gibson was the first to finish his match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 3 spot, while Van Os was right behind him with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 spot. Barton recorded the fifth point for the Bruins to secure the win at the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 6-1. With the match won, the Bruins showed no signs of slowing down as Leach, P.
