FEDERAL WAY --- The George Fox swim team closed out day three of the Northwest Conference Swimming Championships with top finishes from Gabrielle Wood, Drew Johnson, and Caleb Dean.

Recap:

Gabrielle Wood finished fifth in the women's 200-yard free with a time of 1:58.28 to earn All-NWC second-team. Olivia Gibson finished sixth in the women's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.75 and ninth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.96. Her finish in the 100-yard butterfly gives her an All-NWC second-team honor.

Drew Johnson grabbed an All-NWC second-team honor in the men's 100-yard breaststroke after finishing fifth with a time of 57.46. Caleb Dean recorded a time of 52.02 in the men's 100-yard backstroke to take fourth and earn All-NWC second-team. Noah Burlingame wasn't too far behind Dean in eighth with a time of 54.21 to also grab an All-NWC second-team honor.

Linfield leads the women's side with a team total of 370 points. Whitman is in second with 364 points, Whitworth is in third with 337 points, Pacific (Ore.) is in fourth with 290 points and Puget Sound is in fifth with 257 points.

On the men's side, the Bruins are in eighth with 174.5 points and trail seventh-place Willamette by 4.5 points. Whitworth still leads the men's side with 452.5 points, while Linfield is the next closest with 324 points.  

What Comes Next:

The final day of competition at the NWC Swim Championships will take place on Sunday, Feb. 10, with prelims starting at 10 am (PST) and finals starting at 5 pm (PST).
