BREMERTON, Wash. --- The George Fox women's golf team continued its impressive fall season with a team score of 305 to take first of five times in the first round of the Puget Sound Women's Invitational.


The Bruins hold a 15 stroke lead over the field of five Northwest Conference teams, as the team placed four scorers in the top 10. Whitworth University is in second with a 320, while Pacific Lutheran is in third with a 348.

Iris Kawada and Alexandria McMenamin lead the field of 34 golfers with a three-over-par 74. Tianna Brown shot a 76 and is in third, while Kristin Elich signed an 81 to place tied for ninth. Rachel Drgastin shot an 83 and is T-12th. Janelle Decker played as an individual and shot an eight-over-par 79 to place tied for seventh.

The Bruins look to hold on Sunday, Sept. 24, in the final round of the Puget Sound Invitational.
