VENTURA, Calif. --- The No. 4-ranked George Fox women's golf team tied for second place on Tuesday as it completed its final round of the California Lutheran Intercollegiate. Kayle Hunn was the Bruins top-finisher as she tied at second with an even-par 144.

Recap:

Five golfers finished in the top-20 individually with George Fox turning in a team score of 592, shooting a cumulative 16-over on the par-72 course.

Hunn broke even after two rounds (69-75), finishing second only to Redland's Hannah Jugar (143). The junior made par on 11 holes on the second day while shooting six birdies.

Kaitlyn Tonai also boosted the team score, finishing three strokes behind Hunn in a two-way tie at seventh. The Hawai'i native carded a 147 (73-74) and moved up three spots on the final day. Tonia made the only eagle of day two, and added four birdies while making par on 23 holes.

Rachel Drgastin (74-77) and Quincey Beyrouty (73-78) tied for 11th while carding a 151 at seven-over. Both made four birdies with Drgastin making par on 22 holes and Beyrouty, 20.

Alexandria McMenamin tied for 18th with a 10-over 154. The junior ranked fourth among all golfers in making 25 pars.

Not far behind was Nicolle Nitta with an 11-over card of 155 (75-80), ranking her 21st.

What Comes Next:

George Fox returns to action when it travels to the Linfield Invitational on September 28 & 29. The Bruins then host their own tournament on October 5 & 6.
