HILLSBORO --- For the second straight week, the George Fox women's lacrosse team has swept the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week awards, as Ella Rand was named for defense and Lois Ray was named for offense.

Rand, a freshman goalkeeper from Hood River, Oregon, earns her first honor from the conference office. She has been stellar in the net for the Bruins, remaining undefeated between the sticks with a 3-0 record. She allowed just four goals in her 60 minutes of action over the weekend.

Ray, a senior attacker from Springfield, Oregon, was dominant during the Bruins last two games with a team-high 18 points. In those two games, she recorded nine goals, nine assists and shot 85.7 percent on goal. She also claimed seven draw controls to earn her first honor from the conference office on the season.

Rand and Ray join Bailey Faust (defense) and Madison Strickland (offense), who were named NWC Student-Athletes of the Week on March 4.
