McMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The George Fox women's soccer team made the short trip to Linfield on Saturday, losing a tightly-contested conference matchup that went into additional time, 2-1.


A shot by Chloe Shumaker in just the third minute hit the post, narrowly missing out on an early goal.

After a back-and-forth first half the Wildcats managed to find the back of the net in the very last minute of the opening 45 minutes of play, earning a 1-0 lead before the break.

The Bruins came out aggressive in the second half, rattling off a number of shots to put pressure on the Linfield defense.

With the game on the line, Kylie Louis hit a banger from 20 yards out that sailed into the back of the net, tying the game in the 84th minute.

The Wildcats managed to find the back of the net at the end of the first period of overtime, 2-1.

Top Performers:

Leanna Harris and Louis led the Bruin offense on Saturday. Harris tallied three shots, two on-target and Louis tallied two shots and a goal. Louis' goal in the 84th minute was the first of her collegiate career.

What It Means:

The Bruins move to 7-7-2 overall and 5-6-2 in conference play.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins host Lewis & Clark on Sunday in a 12:00pm conference matchup.
