Unfortunately for the home team, Willamette was able to strike again in the 25th minute, widening the gap to 2-0.

Jayli Miyamoto had a chance to score in the 33rd minute, tallying her second shot on-target of the half. Both, however, were saved by the opposing keeper.

The Bearcats struck once more in the 43rd minute at the very end of the half, setting the score at 3-0.

The Bruins came into the second half with some offensive fire, taking shots against the visiting team all throughout the second half. Freshman forward Puka Ahina even hit the crossbar in the 78th minute.

Although the Bruins outshot the Bearcats 7-5 while holding them scoreless in the second half, they were still unable to score as the time ran out.
