Bruins Fall To Top-Ranked Blues

WALLA WALLA --- The George Fox women's tennis team ran into a tough No. 29-ranked Whitman Blues team Saturday, as they fell, 9-0.


The Bruins weren't able to find a groove in doubles, as the Blues came out and took a 3-0 lead. Catrina Kwong and Kristen Mock ran into the Blues All-Americans of Hanna Greenberg and Andrea Gu at the No. 1 spot. The closest match in doubles came at the No. 3 spot, as Sophia Lawrence and Laney Search threw everything they had at the Blues. Whitman was able to come away with a 9-7 win to take all three points at doubles.

In singles play, the Bruins weren't able to match the top-ranked Blues.

What It Means:

The Bruins fall to 3-4 on the season and 1-2 in the Northwest Conference.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins travel to Spokane Sunday to take on Whitworth at 10 am.
