Bruins Fall to 'Cats

NEWBERG --- With its second match in as many days, the George Fox women's tennis team hosted Linfield College in a nonconference match, losing to the Wildcats, 9-0.

Recap:

The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead after sweeping all three points in doubles play. Jillian Studer and Laney Search had the closest match of doubles play with an 8-3 loss to Michelle Uyeda and Elsa Harris. Linfield was on top of its game going into singles action, taking all five out of the six matches in deciding fashion. Taylor Morris had the closest bout at the No. 5 spot with a 4-6, 7-6, 0-1 (2-10) loss to Haley Fujimori.

What It Means:

The Bruins move to 2-4 on the season.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins are back in action against NCAA Division I Seattle University on Friday, March 8.
