Saints Beat Bruins 6-3 on Friday

ORLANDO --- The George Fox women's tennis team lost to St. Lawrence University in a 6-3 match, Friday morning.


Laney Search and Taylor Morris recorded the Bruins' first point of the match in doubles play. Search and Morris won at the No. 2 spot over Katherine Apt and Maddie Nasch in an 8-5 battle. The Saints pulled off wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots in doubles to take a 2-1 lead going into singles.

Morris continued her success in singles play, winning her match at the No. 5 spot, 6-3, 6-2. Alyssa Byde grabbed the Bruins final point in singles, with a 7-5, 7-6 win at No. 6 singles. The Saints grabbed the top four singles positions to win the match in a 6-3 showing.

What It Means:

With the loss, the Bruins fall to 3-10 on the season.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins will enjoy a two-day break before they take on Luther at 1 pm on March 25.
