Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox University's men's soccer team took on Pacific University Saturday afternoon, as the Bruins fell to the Boxers 4-1 in a conference match-up.
In a very physical match-up that led to six cards, the Boxers got on the board early taking a 3-0 lead with 18 minutes left in the first half. The Bruins bounced back and put one in the net after Sean Owens put a beautiful cross in to the box that found Joab Logan's head. It was Logan's first goal of the season.
The Bruins out-shot the Boxers 18-11 and both teams had eight shots on goal. Luke Dickens and Evan Cooney led the Bruins on the day as they both totaled four shots.
The Bruins fall to 2-8-1 on the season and 0-6 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Boxers improve to 4-6-1 and 1-4-1 in conference.
The Bruins will host Willamette on Friday, Oct. 17 at 6p.m.
