Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. --- Joab Logan led the Bruins for the second straight day Sunday, as the Bruins kept pace with Whitworth University, who sits at number two in the Northwest Conference standings.
In the first period, the Bruins came out firing on all cylinders out-shooting the Pirates, 10-3. Keeping possession most of the first half the Bruins were unable to get one past Pirate' goalkeeper Tony Watters, who recorded three saves in the game.
The score was knotted 0-0 at half.
The second period got off to a slow start until Logan netted the first goal of the game in the 76th minute, as the Bruins took a 1-0 lead. The Pirates stormed back scoring in the 87th minute forcing extra time at the end of regulation.
Overtime didn't take too long, as the Pirates were able to get one by in the 90:31 minute to take the 2-1 victory.
Joel Schierman, Sean Owens and Logan all fired off three shots on the day, while Myles Sorokovsky recorded two.
The Bruins fall to 2-13-1 and 0-11-0 in conference. Meanwhile, the Pirates improve to 13-1-2 and 8-1-2 in conference.
The Bruins will play next at home against Puget Sound on November 1st at 1:30 p.m.
