Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox University's men's soccer team hosted Whitman College Sunday afternoon, as the Bruins fell 2-0 to the Missionaries.
The Missionaries (5-4, 2-2 NWC) scored a goal apiece in each period and put seven shots on goal with 23 shot attempts. The Bruins (2-6-1, 0-4 NWC) fired off 13 shots, as eight different Bruins got in on the action.
Angelo Florez recorded three shots, while Sean Owens, Miguel Lopez Ixta, and Luke Hammer tallied two apiece.
Ricardo Sotelo played all 90 minutes and saved five shots, while allowing two goals.
WC's Nathanael Fleming (41st) and Park Harmon (70th) were the goal scorers for the Missionaries.
The Bruins will look to bounce back next weekend when they take on Linfield on Oct. 4 at 2:30p.m.
