Box Score THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. --- The George Fox men's soccer team started their road trip in California on a high note Friday night, as the Bruins surged past the Kingsmen of California Lutheran, 1-0.
Recap:
Both teams started off the match strong firing off shot after shot in the opening minutes. In fact, both teams tallied a total of six shots in the first 20 minutes of the game. Both keepers did a nice job of keeping the ball out of the net, as they both went into the half tied at 0-0. The second half proved to be different for the Bruins, as Jose Becerra received a gifted pass from Joab Logan to nail the game winner in the 47th minute. The Bruins would close out the game keeping the Kingsmen at bay and out of the net.
Top Performers:
Both Becerra and Logan led the team with two shots on the night, while seven other Bruins recorded at least one shot. Ricardo Sotelo played all 90 minutes for the Bruins and recorded five saves.
What It Means:
The Bruins improve to 2-2 on the season and even up their record at .500.

The Bruins will stay in California and match up against the University of Redlands tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
