TACOMA, Wash. --- The George Fox men's soccer team traveled to Washington on Saturday to take on Puget Sound, losing the tough matchup 1-0.
Recap:
The teams took the pitch and were unable to gain the advantage over one another through the majority of the first half.
Senior keeper Andrew Phillis managed to keep two Logger shots out of the back of the net for the Bruins before the opposition was able to score in the 33rd minute, setting the score at 1-0.
The second half continued in much the same fashion, though the Bruins managed to keep the Logger offense at bay. The score remained the same through the final 45 as the Bruins were unable to overcome the deficit.
Top Performers:
Andrew Phillis played well between the sticks as he tallied four saves through the 90 minutes.
What Comes Next:
The Bruins continue their road trip in Washington on Sunday with a conference matchup against Pacific Lutheran University. Kickoff is set for 2:30p.m.
