LA VERNE, Calif. --- The California road trip continues for the George Fox men's soccer team, as they played the Leopards of La Verne in a 4-0 loss.

Recap:
Despite the 4-0 score, the game was a lot closer than what the box score shows. The Bruins hung in tough with the Leopards just falling short on the shot chart, 11-9. The Leopards wasted no time in the opening minutes finding the back of the net after a cross came in from the right side in the seventh minute.

The Leopards put two more in before the whistle blew for half.

The Bruins rallied the troops in the second half, and even out-shot the Leopards 5-4 in the final 45 minutes. The Bruins also won the corner kick race with a 5-4 advantage.

Top Performers:
Joel Schierman and Ricky Hatate led the Bruins with three shots apiece. Ricardo Sotelo earned the start in the net for the Bruins and recorded three saves in his 90 minutes of play.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will look to bounce back Sunday when they play Whittier in their final game of the California road trip.
