SPOKANE, Wash. --- The George Fox men's soccer team traveled to Spokane on Sunday for a conference matchup against the Whitworth Pirates, losing a tough game, 4-0.
Recap:
The Bruins began the game strong as senior midfielder Sean Owens had two shots on goal in just the first 13 minutes of play.
The Pirates got their offense going early, however, tallying four goals in just over nine minutes of play.
George Fox stayed aggressive throughout the first half but were unable to find the back of the net as the first half ended, 4-0.
The Bruin offense got it going in the second half, registering 10 shots against the opposition.
Although George Fox held the Pirates scoreless in the second half, they were unable to score as the time ran down.
Top Performers:
Moises Manon led the Bruin offense with three shots, while Hector Jimenez, Sean Owens, Grant Basquez and Kody Ulrich contributed two apiece.
What It Means:
The Bruins move to 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
