WALLA WALLA --- The George Fox men's soccer team took to the road Saturday, dropping a tough conference matchup to Whitman, 4-0.
Recap:
In the opening sequence of play, the Bruins and the Blues took turns exchanging shots, but it was Whitman who struck first. A goal in the 36th minute set the score at 1-0.
The Bruins held the Blues scoreless through the remainder of the first half.
Whitman found the back of the net in the 54th and 68th minute to widen the gap to 3-0.
The Bruins had a difficult time setting up their offense late and were ultimately unable to overcome the deficit on the road.
Top Performers:
Freshmen Simon Dye and Jared Mclnnes registered the two shots on target for the Bruins.
What It Means:
The Bruins drop to 1-8-3 in conference play and 2-11-3 overall.
