SALEM --- The George Fox men's soccer team took to the road for a Northwest Conference matchup against Willamette University on Saturday, losing a close one, 2-1.

Recap:

The Bearcats found the back of the net early, scoring their first goal in the 7th minute to take the lead, 1-0.

George Fox played competitively after the early score, working to create a number of chances while fending off the Willamette offense.

The Bearcats struck again in the 37th minute to go up by two goals.

The Bruins responded by earning a penalty kick shortly after. Freddy Centeno slipped the ball past the opposing keeper and cut the lead to just one, 2-1.
