Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox men's soccer team hosted the College of Idaho Sunday, dropping the challenging non-conference bout 2-0. Ohm Harape, Jackson Keller, and Tyson Horn recorded shots on goal for the Bruins.

It didn't take long for the Bruins to get in scoring position when Simon Dye took a header to the crossbar in the opening minutes of play. Seconds later, freshman Ohm Harape made a move that led to a penalty on a Yotes defender, but the penalty kick was denied by goalkeeper Parker Billings.
The Yotes took a 1-0 lead with just over two minutes to go in the first after a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. C of I Ryan Gamboa took a shot off a cross, which was saved by freshman keeper Sebastian Lopez, but Cole Fuller won the rebound and sent a low shot into the back of the net.
The Idaho squad outshot Fox in the first 45, but the Bruins displayed accuracy up top as they put two of their three shots on goal.
The Yotes' second goal came in the 84th minute when Bekir Cinac found an opening up the middle to Ben Bechor, sealing a 2-0 setback for the Bruins.
Top Performers:
Six different Bruins stepped up with shots as Harape, Keller, and Horn each found the frame on their attempts. Lopez made four saves in the contest for GFU.
What It Means:
After a tough fight, the young Bruin team faces its first loss of the regular season and move to 1-1 overall.
