SALEM, Ore. --- The George Fox men's soccer team conceded a goal in the early going of their NWC road contest at Willamette and were unable to find an answer in their 1-0 loss in Salem Saturday.
How It Happened
Willamette's Jett Starr found the back of the net just under four minutes into the match to put the Bruins behind by what would be the final margin of 1-0. The Bruins would have their opportunities throughout the match. Captain Jackson Keller put a shot on frame in the 25th minute that earned a diving save by the Bearcats' keeper. Jeff Friedman also had one on target that was saved right before the opening frame expired. Alex Muir tallied three saves in the second half for the Bruins as he tried to keep his team close but the George Fox attack could not break through in the end.
Top Performers
Muir had four total saves in his return from injury. Keller played a strong game in the midfield, making creative passes to give his teammates opportunities.
