TACOMA, Wash. --- George Fox men's soccer finished its Washington weekend with a 4-0 loss at Pacific Lutheran on Sunday, Oct. 31.
How It Happened
The match started out competitive and was close early, even after the Lutes got an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the seventh minute. The Bruins took the next two shots of the match and were able to create chances, but couldn't find the net in a tightly-contested first half.
The match opened up in the second half with three more goals from the Lutes' side. After 15 minutes of scoreless action to start the period, the Lutes put in a pair in quick succession to earn a 3-0 lead with 20 minutes left in the match. Pacific Lutheran earned a penalty kick in the 81st minute and converted the kick for a 4-0 lead to put the game away.
Top Performances
Jeff Friedman led the team with two shots, including one on frame. Alex Muir made four saves against eight shots.
