McMINNVILLE, Ore. --- George Fox faced Northwest Conference leader, No. 38 Linfield, on the Wildcats' home courts and fell, 8-1, on Sunday, Apr. 3.
How It Happened
The Bruins' lone win against the conference-pacing Wildcats came on the doubles courts early in the morning's matchup. Cassey Hitch and Kalli Wiker were able to outduel their opponents, 8-5, to grab the Bruins' lone team point of the match.
In singles, Danielle Brown put up a great battle against the Wildcats' no. 1 in a 6-4, 2-6, 0-1 defeat. Abigail Bond also was able to take five games on court six in a 6-1, 6-4 loss.
What It Means
Fox falls to 11-7 overall and 3-3 in conference matchups while the Wildcats stay unbeaten at 5-0 against NWC foes.
