TACOMA, Wash. -- In a matchup against the top team in the Northwest Conference, the George Fox men's soccer team fell to the No. 18 Pacific Lutheran Lutes, 7-0.
How It Happened
George Fox found themselves down early, as PLU scored in the fifth minute of the game. The Bruins defense was tested for much of the half, and held up relatively well, allowing just one more goal in the half. They gave up the second Lutes goal in the 26th minute, moments after they had one of their best opportunities of the half – a cross into the box that was snatched by the Lutes' keeper. The half ended with the Bruins down, 2-0.
PLU scored five goals in the second half, first in the 48th minutes, then again in the 50th, 56th, 58th, and 62nd before the Bruins were finally able to quiet the opposition's offense. After not being able to produce a shot in the first half, the Bruins had two shots in the second – A shot on goal in the 58th minute by
Joshua Chang, and another shot from Chang in the 71st. The final whistle blew with George Fox losing to their NWC rivals, 7-0.

Joshua Chang had the only shots for the Bruins with a shot on goal in the 58th being the best scoring opportunity for Fox all game.
What It Means
The Bruins fall to 4-10-1 (3-7-1 NWC), and the Lutes improve to 10-1-4 (9-0-2 NWC).
