How It Happened
The Bruins found themselves down early, as the Bearcats berated the GFU goal twice in the first five minutes to put Fox behind, 2-0. The worst had just started, though, as Willamette scored two more times before the end of the 16th minute, putting Fox in a 3-0 hole.
Connor Kong managed to put two shots on goal in the following two minutes, but Willamette added three more goals before the end of the half to send the game into halftime with George Fox losing, 6-0.
The second half was scoreless on both sides; there were a few scoring opportunities for GFU – including a shot on goal from Santiago Munever in the 60th minute,

Andrew Turner in the 85th minute – but Fox couldn't capitalize on them. Their defense was much improved in the second half, as they didn't allow a goal in the frame. The final whistle blew with the same score as the first, with the Bruins behind, 6-0.
