NEWBERG, Ore. -- George Fox women's soccer faced a disappointing 3-0 loss in their game against Whitworth on Saturday, October 20th.
How It Happened
In the first half of the game, the Bruins held off the Pirates until the 33rd minute when Whitworth player, Yacine Bitibale, took a high left shot into the net — giving Whitworth a 1-0 lead against Fox. Five minutes later, the Pirates added another goal to the board with Baylee Trejo scoring a low left goal — giving Whitworth their second goal of the half.
The Pirates were persistent in their forward press, scoring a third and final goal in the 60th minute from Lily Cardenas. George Fox managed to keep Whitworth to a 3-0 loss despite their consistent pressure. The Pirates had a total of 25 shots to the Bruins six. Though the score was 3-0, keeper
