McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The George Fox softball team dropped both games of their doubleheader against the No. 2 Linfield Wildcats, the first game 0-12, and the second 1-4.
How It Happened – Game One
The Bruins struggled to get things going in the first matchup against Linfield. They left the game runless and the Wildcats with a win—0-12 in five innings.
Linfield scored all 12 runs in the first three innings, with six coming in the third as they totaled 12 hits as a team to down the Bruins in quick fashion.
How It Happened – Game Two
Neither team scored any runs in the first two innings until Linfield made four in the bottom of the third. The fourth and fifth innings were left untouched, but Fox made their efforts to make a run in the top of the sixth when
Sydney Sandifer homered to left center to cut the score to 1-4.
That was one of just four the Bruins had on the day, with three Fox errors setting them back.
Elise Wilkinson kept the Wildcats scoreless in the bottom of the sixth, but the Bruins went down 1-2-3 to drop the game.

Sydney Sandifer was the top player with a home run in the second game and one RBI, while
Tinley Taylor finished with a double.
What It Means
With two more losses, George Fox falls to fifth in the conference with a 18-18 mark (11-13 NWC), while Linfield upgrades to 36-0 (24-0 NWC).

The George Fox Bruins will start their final doubleheader series against Lewis & Clark on Friday, May 3rd. The first game starts at 12:00 p.m. and the second game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Portland, Oregon.
