CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced the recipients of the 2024 Inkster Award for Divisions II and III, with George Fox's Alison Takamiya earning yet another honor.

The Inkster Award recognizes the highest ranked women's collegiate golfer in her final year of NCAA eligibility. The award is presented separately to the top Division I, II and III players.  The recipient must be academically eligible per NCAA rules and have played a minimum of 12 rounds during the year. Takamiya joined Dallas Baptitst's Julia Garcia as a winner.

Alison Takamiya collected six tournament wins during the 2023-24 season and finished in the top-five in all but one event. She was both the individual NCAA Champion and the Northwest Conference Champion and was named NWC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

In her four seasons at George Fox, the four-time WGCA First-Team All-American helped lead the Bruins to four top-four finishes at the NCAA Championships, including the National Title in 2023. A four-time WGCA All-American Scholar, Takamiya graduated with a degree in business administration.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
