HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of October 14th through October 20th, with
Emily Foote named to the weekly honor roll.
Foote led all NWC and Division III runners in a 40-team field at the George Oja Invitational. Further, and maybe most impressive, she broke a 34-year-old school record with her winning 6K time of 20:49.5, besting a mark set by Jill Beal in 1991. It is the fastest time run by an NWC athlete this fall.
Foote and the cross country team are headed to Tacoma, Wash., for the Northwest Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1st.
