NEWBERG, Ore. – The George Fox men's soccer team tied with Linfield, 1-1, after a second half resurgence on offense for the Bruins. 

How It Happened
George Fox men's soccer began the match with a Senior Day ceremony honoring the team's seven seniors: Quincy Walker, Andrew Turner, Eugene Peltier, Kellin Aguiar, Elijah Soon, Isaac Williams, and Matthew Woodard.

Fittingly, it was senior Kellin Aguiar who sparked the offensive attacks for George Fox, finding a shooting opportunity in the 10th minute. Aguiar was unable to create an early lead for the Bruins, but found another opening in the 15th minute — though that shot was off as well. 

Linfield took the lead in the 33rd minute with a low, center shot that put the score at 1–0. Kaimi Victor made one last attempt to score before the halftime buzzer, but George Fox remained behind by a single goal. Chase Nelson recorded two saves throughout the half to help contain the Wildcat offense, but the Bruins were trailing, 1-0, at the half.

Senior Quincy Walker had a well-placed attempt in the 46th minute, but it found the hands of the Linfield goalkeeper. Carson Tapia, Eugene Peltier, and Luke Lidington followed with competitive shots of their own but couldn't level the score.

In the 65th minute, Isaac Williams broke the game open for the Bruins, booming a shot into the upper-right corner of the goal at a tough angle along the right side to tie the match 1–1. Looking to pull ahead, Riaden Renggli took a shot in the 69th minute but couldn't create a lead, leaving the score even.

Despite six combined shots by both teams in the final ten minutes, neither side could tip the score in its favor. The match ended in a 1–1 draw at the final buzzer as Fox's season came to a close.

Top Performances
Senior Isaac Williams produced the only Bruin goal of the match, tying the game in the second half. Raiden Renggli found four opportunities to shoot throughout the match. Kellin Aguiar, Quincy Walker, and Isaac Williams each created two opportunities, respectively. Chase Nelson recorded three saves to help control Linfield on defense. Kilinahe Waring, Walker, and Elijah Soon each dedicated 90 minutes on defense to keep scoring opportunities for the Wildcats to a minimum. 

Coach's Thoughts
"The fight from the guys today was exceptional," Bruin head coach Paul Karver said. "We felt a win was more appropriate but to come back from a goal down to score and continue to work the way we did is a treatment to the culture this group of seniors has built. It's always hard to graduate a group of exceptional young men but the next chapters are going to be special and it's a blessing to know we all get to be a part of it."

What It Means
The Bruins end their season at 5-9-6 (3-8-5 NWC), while Linfield finishes up at 2-14-4 (2-10-4 NWC)
