HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of October 13th through October 19th, with Breanna Schmitt being named to the weekly honor roll for the third time this year!

Schmitt continued to dominate the field at the George Oja Invitational, finishing as the highest D-III runner and second overall. The fifth-year senior ran the third-fastest time in program history with a 6k mark of 20:53.2. That time was 30 seconds faster than her nearest NWC competition and was better than all D-I runners in the field.

Schmitt and the cross country team will compete in the Northwest Conference Championships this Saturday, Oct. 31, with the men starting at 10:00 a.m. and the women starting at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Knoll Golf Course in Salem, Ore.
