NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The George Fox STUNT team was pushed the the brink in a matchup against the No. 1 Muskingum Muskies on day two of the Division III STUNT National Championship, fighting in a tough battle but ultimately falling, 26-21.

How It Happened
A rematch of the 2025 Division III National Championship, the Muskies entered the competition as the top-seeded team, while the Bruins came in number two. The two teams played like evenly-matched foes, the Bruins captured the first point and won the next within two, and though they failed to earn a point on routine seven, they took a 3-2 lead to the second quarter.

For pyramids and tosses, the Muskies won the first point before the Bruins countered with one of their own. In a rarity, the two teams split their final two points — each team earned a point apiece on routine one and two to give the Bruins a halftime lead, 6-5.

The Muskies came out of the halftime gates hot, winning the first point within two and the second outright to take the lead. Once again, the teams stayed close, but the Muskies won the third routine of the quarter within two, before failing to earn a point on routine five as they took a 10-7 lead into the fourth.

GFU called routine five, and after a restart due to technical difficulties, Fox battled through and worked their deficit down to two, 14-12. The Muskies ran with routine two, with Fox staying in range on the pyramids and tosses section to stay within range, 18-16. The teams continued to battle close, with several more within two points down the stretch. The Muskies grew their lead on the final points, taking down the Bruins in a thriller, 25-21.

What It Means
With the loss, Fox falls to the loser's bracket to face a familiar foe in Saint Mary's. The winner of the elimination game will face the Muskies in a winner-take all championship game on Sunday.
