7/24/2026 4:10:00 PM

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office has announced the 2025-26 First Team All-Scholar student-athletes, as well as its full roster of 2025-26 NWC Scholar-Athletes, with Lana Davis and Caden Hildenbrand leading the team of 241 GFU Scholar-Athletes.

NWC Scholar-Athletes must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better and be a member of their team during their traditional season to be considered for academic honors from the conference. First Team scholars are submitted to the conference by each institution based on their work in the classroom, on the field and as representatives of overall excellence.

The Bruins increased their year-over-year number of Scholar-Athletes recognized with the prestigious honor from 232 to 241 total recipients.

Davis and Hildenbrand exemplified the heart of a scholar-athlete with their outstanding performances inside and outside the classroom. Both athletes recorded GPAs higher than 3.90 throughout their careers at Fox while receiving NWC Scholar-Athlete honors every year of their undergraduate careers.

Davis closes out her career with yet another accolade to add to her historic career at Fox. The California native helped lead the Bruins to a perfect 40-0 regular-season record against NWC opponents during her career, winning the NWC Championship in her first three years while advancing to three NCAA Tournament appearances. Davis earned NWC Offensive Player of the Year honors following a record-breaking season in which she reached 356 points, becoming the all-time points leader in program history. After the conclusion of the season, Davis earned IWLCA Second Team All-Region honors after being named to the first team in her prior two seasons.

Off the field, Davis served as president of the Financial Planning Club and volunteered with Night to Shine, an annual prom experience for individuals with special needs.

Hildenbrand made major strides on the track and in the classroom. Throughout his career, Hildenbrand earned six USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors and two College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections while maintaining a 3.986 GPA across three majors. He earned three First Team All-NWC selections in cross country and one First Team All-NWC selection in track and field. He was a key contributor to the Bruins' ninth consecutive outdoor track and field NWC title and fifth straight sweep of the cross country NWC titles.

Hildenbrand has contributed to the George Fox and Newberg communities through initiatives such as GFU Serve Day, supporting local organizations and community members.

In addition to their First Team honorees, Fox produced 280 NWC Scholar-Athlete performances from its student-athlete population in 2025-26, with 241 individuals earning the recognition.
