Athletic Training Guide for Visiting Athletic Teams

The George Fox University athletic training staff welcomes you and your team to our campus. Please see any of our staff members if you have any questions regarding athletic training event coverage.

Facilities

  • The Wheeler Sports Medicine Center is located on the lower level of Wheeler Sports Center.
    • Visiting football teams will use the Wheeler Sports Medicine Center for their pre-game needs.
  • Austin Complex Sports Medicince Center is located adjacent to the soccer field at the Austin Sports Complex.
  • The Duke Sports Medicine Center is located in the lower level of the Duke Athletic Center

The treatment rooms are open approximately two hours prior to competition.

Coverage

A certified athletic trainer (ATC) will be present for all contests hosted by George Fox University. A team physician and ambulence services will be onsite at each home football game.

Water, water bottles, and ice will be available to the athletes. Emergency supplies and equipment will be available as needed. Shower towels will not be provided.

Treatment

Ultrasound and electrical stimulation machines are available for treatment. Electrical modalities will only be administered with a written prescription, including specific parameters from a physician or ATC. Emergency services are on call for all competitions.
