The Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) is George Fox University’s representative and appointed delegate to the NCAA and the Northwest Conference. The purpose of the FAR is to ensure the academic and athletic missions and goals of the university are being met. The FAR is appointed by the University president and is a member of the faculty. The George Fox University sports medicine staff provides medical support for all George Fox University intercollegiate student athletes during the athletic competition year as defined by the NCAA.
Medical coverage includes injury prevention, medical evaluations, emergency treatment, medical referrals, rehabilitation services and medical care for all visiting teams. The medical staff follows guidelines and implements procedures as defined by the NCAA Sports Medicine Handbook.

The Sports Information and Marketing Office serves as the primary media and public relations office for George Fox University’s intercollegiate athletics programs. The office’s duties include oversight of department social media use, production of media releases, design and maintenance of the athletics website, production of publications (including game programs), statistics for all sports and management of game operations personnel for home events.
The George Fox University sports information and marketing staff works with University coaches, administrators and staff, as well as staff from other institutions, to ensure that information is available in an accurate, timely and usable form. Student-athletes are encouraged to contact the Sports Information and Marketing office with ideas for interesting stories or to share information which may be useful in further publicizing George Fox University Athletics.
