Jamie Johnson joined the George Fox men's soccer program as an assistant coach in 2023. A graduate of George Fox, Johnson played on the Bruins' soccer team from 1998 to 2000, receiving Second Team All-NWC accolades and Third Team NSCAA All-West Region Scholar-Athlete honors in 2000. In his career spanning three seasons, Johnson scored 18 goals and 10 assists for the Bruins.
Johnson has extensive coaching experience, having worked with boys and girls at the club level; in 2020, his 06 Boys team won the Founders Cup. He also served as a varsity assistant coach at his high school alma mater, Newberg High School. Additionally, Jamie coached collegiate softball for four years at Division III Gordon College.
Along with coaching, Johnson also serves as dean for spiritual life, inclusion, and leadership, and university pastor at George Fox. He is married to Erin, director of the George Fox social work program, and together they parent three wonderful children. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys leading worship, running, reading, and cheering for the Portland Timbers and the Boston Red Sox.
