Luke Babson joined the Bruins' coaching ranks as an assistant to Biniam Afenegus for the men's soccer program in 2020.

Babson has a U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) Class C license and a Federation of Wales C license. He has coached previously at Western Oregon for nearly eight years from 2011-18 and is the co-founder and head coach for PDX FC, a semi-pro NPSL team in Portland.

Babson has also coached for the Eastside Timbers, the Washington Timbers, and the Portland Thorns FC as the head coach of their Olympic Development program for four years from 2014-18.

Babson graduated from Colorado State-Pueblo in 2007 with a degree in sociology and played collegiate soccer for CSU-Pueblo and Clark College in Vancouver, Wash.
