Soph French joins the Bruin men's soccer program as an assistant coach in 2023. French comes to the Bruins after a collegiate and professional career that saw her as a member of the Portland Thorns as a National Team Replacement Player, Minnesota Aurora FC, and collegiately for the University of Portland, Cal State Fullerton, and the University of Idaho.

French has coached an extensive amount of youth camps during her playing career, and also served as an assistant coach for Sherwood High School. She currently lives in her hometown of Lake Oswego, Ore.
