Tom Gorman joined the Bruin men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023. Gorman comes from Oregon State University, where he spent one season as the Beavers Men’s Soccer Performance Analyst. There, Gorman analyzed games and training sessions to objectively measure both team and individual performance. He coded key events aligned with the team’s game model to create post-game analysis reports, contributing to the Beavers’ 6-0 spring record.
Prior to his time as an analyst for the Beavers, Gorman was a coach for the Oregon Valley Futbol Alliance, both as an assistant coach for the U19B USL-Academy team and a head coach for the U15B Classic team.
Presently, Gorman works with Oregon Premier FC, where he serves as the head coach for U15 and U16 boys' teams. He also works as a regional training center coach with the Portland Timbers. He holds a ‘D’ license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and is a UEFA ‘C’ license candidate.
Gorman graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics in 2023.
