Bryant Quinn

Bryant Quinn has been an assistant coach with the distance programs since 2016, and has helped the women's team to four consecutive and the men's team to six consecutive Northwest Conference Cross Country titles. Quinn oversaw one of the men's championships directly after serving for one season as an interim associate head coach for the 2019 fall season. He contributed to the individual qualifications of Kara (Helland) Lyda and Peter Weiss in 2021, and the three Women's and Men's team NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championship Meet appearances during the 2022-2024 fall seasons.

As a co-interim head coach with Rachel (Gibbs) Haldorson, Quinn led the Bruins to their first solo share of the Northwest Conference in 2019 and was named NWC Coach of the Year as a result. Four Bruins - Josh Gibbs, Tim Kaelin, Peter Weiss, and Trevor Wilber - were named All NWC and two - Weiss & Wilber - earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors as the first Bruin runners to claim the honor since Quinn himself earned that recognition in 2015.

Quinn has also served as an assistant coach on the Track & Field staff at Fox that has seen seven consecutive NWC Track & Field Championship titles with the Men's and Women's program. In the spring Quinn assists with the distance track roster; while specializing in coaching the Bruin Steeplechasers. Since assuming those duties in 2022, George Fox athletes have achieved five NWC Track & Field podium appearances and won the event a total of four times - Jessica (Neal) Gibbs in '23, Gavin Grass in '23 & '25, and Austin Gappa in '24 - with Grass and Gappa each qualifying for the NCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships and earning second-team All-American status in the event. The Bruin men have been a mainstay in the Steeplechase Event Squad rankings, consistently achieving a Top 10 rank at the conclusion of the past three seasons.

An alumni of the program, Quinn graduated from George Fox in 2016 with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance, a B.A. in English, and a minor in Coaching. He is also a graduate of the George Fox Masters of Arts in Teaching Program with endorsements in K-12 Physical Education and Health. Further, he has completed the Strength and Conditioning and Track & Field Technical Trainings through the USTFCCCA.

In addition to coaching, Quinn is a physical education teacher at Dundee Elementary School. He attends Red Hills Church and resides in Newberg with his wife Hannah. His mission is to come alongside athletes and students to develop grit and encourage them to use their gifts to elevate and serve others.
