Antonio Arredondo

Antonio Arredondo joined the George Fox athletic department as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications during the summer of 2022 and was elevated to the role of Director of Sports Information in November 2022. His primary role includes managing the operations of the 21 NCAA-sanctioned sports, as well as the working on the sports information office and all media relations functions. Arredondo is the primary contact for football, volleyball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's basketball, baseball, cross country, and track and field.

His responsibilities include writing game day recaps, working with student writers, managing the Bruins' website and social media feeds, tracking and inputting statistics for the department, and helping with live stream production during game events. In his first full year at the Sports Information Director position, Arredondo became the youngest SID in Northwest Conference history to be named the Northwest Conference Jack Sareault Award winner. In the fall of 2024, Arredondo was announced as one of the 30 participants for the inaugural NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program. He is a member of the College Sports Communicators as well as a voter in the Fred Stabley Writing Contest.

A George Fox alum, Arredondo spent three years as a student worker for the Bruins, serving as an announcer, a writer, and working in production. In 2022, Arredondo graduated with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. He returns to George Fox after completing a post-graduate internship with the East Oregonian newspaper as part of the University of Oregon's Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism; Arredondo was one of 20 Oregon students selected for the program and one of three to be receive the Excellence in Journalism Ethics Award.

Arredondo currently resides in Newberg with his wife and GFU Assistant women's basketball coach, Lillie, and their cats, Ollie and Theo. They attend Red Hills Church.
