Brian Pollard joined the George Fox baseball as an assistant coach in the 2022-23 season. His primary focus is developing and expanding skills with infielders. He additionally works with players on hitting and base-running and supports the leadership team in recruiting.
Pollard has 20 years' worth of experience in a variety of coaching arenas, and a long winning record working with developing athletes. He spent 15 years at Mound Time Baseball Academy in Hillsboro, Ore. as both Assistant Director and Head Coach for many MT Academy teams. For the past 5 years, Pollard has been affiliated with and coached for various programs in the Pacific Northwest, including the NW Summer League and NW Nationals, and has been a USA Baseball NTIS coach at their National Training complex in Cary, N.C.
After attending and playing for Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, Brian transferred to Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D., where he currently holds the school’s all-time assist record. Pollard graduated from Dakota Wesleyan in 2005 with a major in sports management and a minor in business administration.Â
When not on campus, Brian can be found with his wife Melissa watching his three children at their various sporting events.Â
