DeMontre Thomas II joined the George Fox coaching staff in the summer of 2026, serving as an offensive assistant. A two-year starter for the Bruins in 2023 and 2024, Thomas II returns to his alma mater after a career that saw him throw for 3,272 yards (third-most in program history) and 16 touchdowns.
Thomas II's 1,896 passing yards in his senior season were the fourth-most in program history, and his 2023 game against Pacific Lutheran saw him complete a program-record 85% of his passes. Prior to his time in Newberg, Thomas II was the scout team quarterback for Division I Portland State.
