Todd Taylor has been a prominent figure in hammer throwing in the Northwest over the past 20 years as a competitor, coach, and official.  His reputation is a product of performance.

As a master's competitor, he won 18 USA Track & Field (USATF) national championships in the hammer and weight throws and held 6 American age-group records.  He is also a Pan American Champion and World Champion of World Masters Athletics (WMA).

Taylor has coached by Lance Deal, hammer throw American record holder, and legendary coach Stewart Togher who coached Olympic Gold Medalist Koji Murofushi.

Todd is a USATF Level II Certified Throws Coach.  Collegiately, he was the Throws Coach at Mt Hood Community College and Hammer/Weight Coach at Concordia University-Portland. He has coached numerous conference, state, and national champions and record holders. He has published articles on hammer throwing technique and training in Long & Strong Thrower’s Journal.
