William Bale joined the George Fox athletic department as the Assistant Director of Sports Information and Marketing in the fall of 2025. His primary role is to promote and market the university's athletics programs, while assisting in the operation of a department that sponsors 21 NCAA Division III varsity sports and two emerging sports. Bale serves as the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, softball, women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s tennis.
His responsibilities include assisting with game-day live statistics, public address announcing, scoreboard operations, ticketing, media coordination for home athletic events, and managing and mentoring a student staff team.
A Virginia Tech alum, Bale spent four years as a production assistant for the Hokies, contributing to more than 100 live athletic events as both a cameraman and control room staff member for ESPN and the ACC Network. In 2024, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports media and analytics. He went on to earn his master’s degree in sport leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall of 2025 after completing an externship with the Salem Capitals.
Bale currently resides in Newberg and attends Bridgetown Church.
