Seth Preuss

Seth Preuss joined the department as the Bruins' Sports Information Director in 2019-20 after serving as the assistant SID in the 2018-19 academic year. Preuss served as the Bruins' primary contact for football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, baseball, and lacrosse. His day-to-day responsibilities included maintaining the Bruins' website and social media feeds, tracking and inputting statistics for the department, writing recaps and program notes, nominating student-athletes, teams, and coaches for various awards, tracking performance analytics for the department's content, and ensuring that game-day events run smoothly.

Preuss is most passionate about telling the stories of others and was been lucky enough to win a handful of awards for the way he told those stories, but the awards were only made possible because of the excellent individuals he was privileged to work with.

Prior to joining George Fox, Preuss served as the sports information director at Hope International University in Fullerton, California, for three years, where he covered 19 teams for the department while maintaining the department's statistical records, its website, and the social media channels for athletics.

Before his time at HIU, Preuss spent six years as a student worker and graduate assistant in the Concordia Irvine athletic department from 2009 to 2015. During that time he served as the primary contact for men's volleyball, baseball, women's basketball, and the water polo programs. He also helped manage game-day events and assisted in digitizing three decades of archived statistics for the department's career database. During his time at CUI, he served as the primary contact for three national championship programs at the NAIA level (baseball, 2011, men's basketball, 2012, men's volleyball, 2013).

Preuss graduated from Concordia Irvine in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in history. He and his wife, Lauren, were married in 2017 in Canby, Oregon, and live together in Portland.
