NEWBERG, Ore. - Breaking out of their modest

advantage. Trailing 24-21, the Bruins rallied to tie it on a
Beacon service error and back-to-back blocks by Sarah Crossfield
and Kaitlyn Maddams. A kill by Lindsey Young again gave the
Beacons a potential set point, but the Bruins responded with a kill
by Hovee, a block by Hovee and Maddams, and an ace by Lani
Rasmussen for the win.

remained in front, though the Beacons did close within two points
at 12-10 midway through the set after consecutive kills by Cassie
Bishop. A kill by Eliza Pledger prevented the Beacons from
getting closer, and the Bruins stayed three to five points ahead
the rest of the way before a block by Pledger closed out the set
and the match. Although they hit only .000 themselves in the
final set, the Bruins again held the Beacons to a negative attack
mark of minus-.029.
